KHAIRPUR, June 25: A large number of abadgars, leaders and activists of Sindh Hari Committee staged a demonstration outside the press club here on Tuesday.

Led by Wajood Ali Shar, the district chief of the committee, they were protesting against water shortage, rotation and water theft at 20 minors of three talukas, Faiz Ganj, Thari Mirwah and Kingri.

The protesters alleged that despite improvement in water situation in Indus, some 20 waterways had not received water at tails, while rotation was continuing.

They further said that the rotation was also not being fairly implemented and water was not being supplied on merit. They told newsmen that the influential landlords were stealing water but no action was being taken against them.
