KARACHI, June 24: The president, Friends of Burns Centre, Civil Hospital Karachi, Abdullah Feroze, and vice-president Arjumand Qazi, called on Sindh health minister Ehsan Ahmad on Monday and apprised him of the steps taken so far regarding progress of work on the Burns Centre.

They informed the minister that charitable and generous people were taking interest in the construction of the Burns Centre and donating in cash and kind. They said that one of the donors provided 50 ceiling fans, the other provided cement bags while the third supplied tiles.

The minister appreciated the work of all those who are serving the humanity by taking part in the construction of the Burns Centre.

Ahsan Ahmad suggested that teachers and students may also be involved in this project by organizing various programmes after the summer vacations.—PPI
