KARACHI: MS, SSUET Pledge cooperation

KARACHI, Nov 1: The Microsoft Corporation and Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology, on Thursday, entered into an alliance for cooperation in the area of IT education.

A memorandum of understanding was signed by Jawad Rehman, country manager, on behalf of Microsoft, and Prof Syed Nazir Ahmed, vice chancellor, on behalf of the SSUET.

Under the MoU, the SSUET and Microsoft, through OCLITS system — the MS authorized education resellers — will work and develop a strategic alliance to extend cooperation between the two organizations in IT Education.

The SSUET also signed an academic agreement with MS forming the foundation for the strategic initiatives.

The MS and SSUET will also embark upon conducting several training and technical awareness related initiatives, details of which will be mutually worked out. — APP
