HYDERABAD, June 23: An enraged man killed his wife and seriously injured her friend at his home located in Wadhon Ka Pir, in the jurisdiction of Market police, here on Sunday.

The alleged killer, Amar Lal, runs a leather sleepers business and has a shop built within his house.

One of his employees, Jathia, who used to move freely in his house, was beaten up by

Amar Lal when the latter found him in a compromising position with his wife, Eri (28). Lal had barred Jathia from visiting his home or shop since then.

However, Jathia came to Lal’s home on Sunday and was caught red-handed when Lal returned home. On seeing his wife in an objectionable position with Jathia, Lal attacked both of them with a sharp instrument used in sleeper making.

Eri died on the spot and Jathia fell unconscious. Lal locked the house from outside and fled.

After gaining conscious, Jathia threw something out of the house to attract neighbours who broke open the door.

Eri’s body and Jathia were taken to civil hospital.

Police have arrested Amar Lal and started investigation.
