LAHORE, June 22: Mian Azhar on Saturday assailed former prime ministers Benazir Bhutto and Mian Nawaz Sharif, saying they stood no chance of ever returning to power.
Speaking at a reception, the PML(QA) president said the future belonged to his party and it would form the government after the October general elections. Those who made Surrey Mansion or Raiwind Palace would never be able to return to power, he said of the PPP and the PML(N) leaders.
Mian Azhar said both the former premiers had been deceiving the people by first calling each other security risk and then joining hands against the army government. Both the leaders would know their political worth in the coming elections.
He said their claims of alternating each other in power would never come true.
Referring specifically to Mr Sharif, the former Punjab governor said he had been exhorting others to make investment in Pakistan while he himself was setting up projects in Jeddah.
The PML(QA) president said his party would introduce politics of tolerance. Young people would be afforded opportunity to play their role in the national politics.
Syed Fakhr Imam said the PML(QA) would give more importance to parliament and prefer to enact entire legislation through the two houses.
