LAHORE, June 18: President Gen Musharraf should call another all-party conference on Kashmir and the situation on Pakistan-India borders to take political leaders into confidence.

Talking to reporters here at the office of Mr Faiz Rahim, a new entrant to the party and politics, PML(QA) senior vice-president Ejazul Haq said the proposed APC should focus on one-point, leaving other domestic issues for some other sitting.

He said unity of the nation was imperative at a juncture when India and Israel were out to exterminate Muslims.

The PML(QA) leader also proposed that the government should take political parties into confidence on the amendments it wanted to introduce to the constitution. All fears being expressed by various leaders must be addressed, he said.

He said it was in the interest of the government to take the parties into confidence on its constitutional package as, eventually, it was to be approved by them in parliament.

He supported efforts being made for the unity of various factions of the PML.
