The meeting, presided over by president of the bar Sher Afgan Khattak, criticized the government for not fulfilling its promises.

The speakers said that at the time of the inauguration of the complex by the NWFP governor it was committed that all necessary facilities would be provided to the lawyers like car park, potable water, bar room, seating facilities, and bringing the scattered courts on a single premises.

Sher Afgan, Naeem Jan, general secretary, Fazalur Rehman, Arbab Bukhtiar, Saeed Zahir, Akhter Biland, Mian Saadullah Jandooli, were among the speakers. They said that they had contacted the government on several occasions, but to no avail. They added that there was no bar room in the complex and proper seating facilities were also not available.

It was decided that initially the president would address a news conference to apprise the government about their demands, following which a protest movement would be launched.
