Americans asked to limit movements

ISLAMABAD, Oct 7: The US citizens in Pakistan were advised on Sunday night by the US state department to limit their movements in their respective locations after attack on Afghanistan was launched.

A travel warning issued to the US citizens said, “The US government initiated military action today pursuant to its inherent right of self-defence recognized in Article 51 of the UN Charter, after the events of September 11 in the United States.” This action may result in strong anti-American sentiment and retaliatory actions against US citizens and interests throughout the world by terrorists and those who are sympathetic to or otherwise support terrorism, the warning said.

The United Kingdom also warned its citizens against travel to Pakistan until further notice.
