QUETTA, June 14: Balochistan National Party (Mengal group) on Friday warned the provincial government that if murderers of Mir Aslsam Gichki are not arrested by June 30, it will be responsible for the consequences.

The acting president of the party, Abdul Wali Khan Kakar, said at a press conference that causes behind the murder were political but despite nomination of the accused in the FIR, no arrest had been made so far.

He alleged that the secret agencies were creating hurdles in the arrest of the murderers.

He alleged that the government wanted to use vast land of Balochistan for its defence and economic goals. He alleged that Aslam Gichki was murdered because he was the main hurdle in the way of the government’s nefarious designs. The BNP leader paid tribute to Aslam Gichki and warned that the federal government could not succeed in looting the natural resources of the province. He said that people of Balochistan would defend their motherland.

Replying to a question, he alleged that the government also wanted to remove 16 other BNP leaders from the political scene as it was the main opposition party in the province, which had refused to accept illegal steps of the government.

He said the situation created in Dera Bugti was also part of the government’s policy and the BNP would extend full support to the Jamhuri Watan Party.
