HYDERABAD, June 13: The controller of examinations, University of Sindh, Jamshoro, on Thursday announced the names of position holders of various departments of the university.
Ghulam Fareed, son of Maula Buksh Shaikh, secured first position, Shahid Ali, son of Barkat Ali Shaikh, secured second position and Mohammad Abid, son of Jamil A. Razzak Mughal, secured third position in M.Sc (final), Electronics Technology, semester examination 2000.
Ms Kiran Saleem, daughter of Syed Saleem Ahmed Shah, Kamran Taj Pathan, son of Taj M. Pathan, and Sumiullah Bhatti, son of Asadullah Bhatti, secured first, second and third positions respectively in M.Sc (final), Computer Technology, semester examination 1999.
In M.Sc (final), Communication Technology, semester examination 1999, Mohammad Tahir, son of Jehangir Ahmed Qureshi, secured first position, Mohammad Shameem Khan, son of Mohammad Mustaquim Khan Rajput, secured second and Gordhan Das, son of Kishive Lal, secured third position.
ADMISSION SCHEDULE: The director admissions, University of Sindh, Jamshoro, on Thursday announced the admission schedule for the B.Sc (hons) part-I, Biochemistry, in its newly-established Institute of Biochemistry on regular and under the self-finance scheme for the academic session of 2002-2003.
The admission forms will be available in the Habib Bank Limited, old campus and Jamshoro branches, on the prescribed fee from June 15. The forms can also be downloaded from the university website: www.usindh.edu.pk
He further announced that 60 seats were reserved for the academic session of 2002-2003, with 75 per cent seats on regular basis and 25 per cent on self-finance basis.
The admission forms will have to be deposited personally in the office of the director admissions up to July 31.
AWARD: In recognition of his excellent research work, Prof Dr Mohammad Iqbal Bhanghar, the director of the centre of excellence in analytical chemistry, Jamshoro, has been selected to receive productivity allowance by the ministry of science and technology. The peer review committee of the Pakistan Council of Science and Technology examined the research work and recommended the name of Dr Bhanghar for the award.
