KARACHI, Nov 14 An additional district and sessions judge (south) on Friday granted bail to a gold trader, Kamran Tessori, on Rs50,000 surety in a case registered under the Arms Ordinance at Gizri police station.

The suspect through his counsel, Naeem Qureshi, had moved a bail application before the court. The judge pronounced the order after recording arguments from both sides.

The police arrested the suspect at Karachi airport upon his arrival from Islamabad on Nov 5.

According to the suspect`s counsel, six cases were registered against Kamran under the Arms Ordinance, Control of Narcotic Substances Act and Sections 353 & 324 of the PPC at Karachi.

The prosecution said that the suspect along with his associates was also wanted in a case registered in district Badin.

Meanwhile, an additional district and sessions judge on Friday supplied the copy of statements and documents to the suspects in a case pertaining to the murder of a famous fashion designer.

The bullet-riddled body of Sheikh Amir Hassan was found on Aug 30 in his DHA, Phase V, residence, where he lived alone.

The police arrested two brothers, Ameer Hamza and Mohammad Saad Farooq, near the Zamzama Park in Clifton on Sept 3 for their alleged involvement in the case.
