ISLAMABAD, June 11: The people of Kashmir on both sides of the Line of Control have decided to observe strike on the occasion of US secretary of defence Rumsfeld’s visit to Islamabad and New Delhi.

The coordination committee of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) which met here on Tuesday announced that protest demonstrations would be held to demonstrate to the world that the people of Kashmir do not accept the misguided attitude of the international community specially the US on Kashmir issue.

The committee was constituted by the recent APC of Kashmiri political parties on June 2 last which comprised Abdur Rashid Turabi of Jamaat-i-Islami, Ghulam Mohammad Safi of APHC and Shah Ghulam Qadir of ruling Muslim Conference.

Meanwhile, prime minister of Azad Kashmir Sardar Sikandar Hayat Khan has sent a letter to all the foreign diplomatic missions in Islamabad about the ground situation vis a vis Kashmir and exposed the one sided propaganda unleashed by India.

In his letter, the AJK premier recalled that an all parties conference of Kashmiri political parties held on June 2 in Islamabad had decided to join the people of occupied Kashmir by observing a complete strike on June 13 when US secretary of defence will be in Pakistan.
