PESHAWAR, June 10: More than Rs 300,000 worth gold ornaments and valuables were robbed and burgled in two separate incidents in the city on Sunday night.

Noor Mohammad, a resident of Hayatabad Phase VI, lodged an FIR with the Tatara police station, stating that he and his family members were preparing to sleep, when burglars entered the house and locked all the inmates in a bedroom.

They took away gold ornaments and other valuables worth more than Rs 250,000 and when they were fleeing one of the burglars opened fire at a minor girl Sumera Kanwal.

She received two bullets and was admitted to Hayatabad Medical Complex in critical condition.

In another incident, Azim Gul of Kamboh area, informed the police that when he and his family members were sleeping, some burglars entered his house and decamped with six tolas of gold ornaments, Rs 40,000 in cash and other household items.

Meanwhile, Jalal Khan son of Musafir Sher, was allegedly killed by Nadaray son of Misri Khan, in Shagai, near here on Sunday night.

Musafir Sher lodging an FIR with Chamkani police station, said that he and his sons were in the Shagai bazaar when the accused opened indiscriminate fire.

As a result his son Jalal Khan received bullet injuries and later died on the way to hospital.
