Aussies warm up with win

BRISBANE, June 9: Australia warmed up for a three-match one-day cricket series against Pakistan with a 72-run win over state team Queensland in a limited-overs match Sunday.

Australia scored 226 for seven off their 40 overs with opener Matthew Hayden top-scoring with 78 and Jimmy Maher contributing 60.

Ricky Ponting’s team then restricted Queensland to 154 for eight in reply. Leg-spinner Shane Warne finished with 2-19 from his eight overs while pace pair Glenn McGrath (2-25) and Brett Lee (2-27) were also impressive.
