MUZAFFARABAD, June 9: Eleven persons, including three women, were injured in a head-on collision between two vehicles here on Sunday, police said.

A Suzuki pick-up (AJKD-3718) collided with a jeep (AJKA-68) near an army checkpoint in Ambore locality due to speeding.

As a result, ten persons in the pick-up identified as driver Mohammad Yousaf, cleaner Shah Zaman, Habib Khan, Shahnaz Bibi and Pervez Ahmed (all Kashmiri refugees), head constable Ghulam Hussain, Riaz Hussain Shah, Jamal Ali, Saghir Fatima and Khatoon Bibi were injured and admitted to Abbas Institute of Medical Sciences in Ambore.

The jeep driver, Sikandar Gillani, son of a former mayor of Muzaffarabad, was also injured and admitted to CMH. Police have registered a case.
