HYDERABAD, June 8: All Sindh Mosque Schools Teachers Association president Amanullah Teeghani has said that mosque school teachers have not been given any facility during the last 19 years.

Speaking at a news conference at the press club here on Saturday, Mr Teeghani said mosque school teachers were in fact primary teachers.

He said the major problem was the grant of selection grade to the teachers.

He said that on Nov 11, 1997, at a meeting between office-bearers of the association and the secretary for education, it was decided that the seniority list of mosque school teachers would be prepared separately and they would be given the selection grade but the decision had not been implemented during the last five years.

Mr Teeghani demanded that this decision should be implemented without delay.

He also announced the election programme of the association and said that according to the decision of the supreme council of the association, members had been exempted from the payment of membership fee.
