Attack on Iraq next month, says Uday

BAGHDAD, Oct 30: Iraq will be attacked by the United States in the coming weeks, President Saddam Hussein’s elder son Uday wrote in a front-page article published on Tuesday.

“The Americans are going to suspend their operations in Afghanistan with the onset of winter and carry out a new aggression against Iraq before Ramazan,” he said.

“In case of failure in Iraq, the Americans will resume their operations in Afghanistan at the end of winter,” Uday added in his daily newspaper, Babel, under the known pen-name of Abdullah Mohammad Al-Saqr.

“The Americans can use various pretexts including anthrax to blame Iraq,” he said, referring to the bioterrorism campaign in the United States, in a long analysis. —AFP
