NAWABSHAH, April 29: The chairman, Sindh National Front, Mumtaz Ali Bhutto, has said that Pakistan is running on the revenue of the Sindh province as it pays 75 per cent tax to the Centre.

Talking to newsmen at the resident of Syed Zain Shah, chief of his own faction of the Jeay Sindh Quami Mahaz, Mr Mumtaz said that there was no natural shortage of water as it had all been engineered by Punjab as a result of which 2 million acres of katcha land of Sindh had dried up due to the shortage of water.

He wanted to know why the Thal canal needed to be constructed when there was no water.

He pointed out that it was time for young and energetic people to come forward and replace old politicians.

He said that alliances were made to be broken, but there was a genuine need for a council or committee which could solve the problems of Sindh like the water crises, law and order, and unemployment.

He wanted to know that if there was a natural water crisis, then why Punjab was having bumper crops.

He suggested that Ms Benazir Bhutto come back to Pakistan and face the problems as it was the need of the hour.
