LAKKI MARWAT, April 17: The shopkeepers nabbed a fake currency dealer and handed him over to the police.
A retired law-enforcement personnel, Mir Sardar of Zangikhel, bought two kilograms of raw sugar (treacle/molasses) from a treacle dealer Nasir Khan of Giloti (Yarak, D.I.Khan) in Darra Pezu weekly fair and gave a currency note of Rs1,000 to the dealer.
Suspecting the currency note, the dealer went to show it to another shopkeeper, the buyer of the raw sugar understood the gravity of the situation and started running.
The shopkeepers also ran behind, controlled him and handed him over to the police. A case under section 489-B was lodged against him.
