ISLAMABAD, March 27: Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration on Wednesday kicked off a drive against transporters who violate traffic rules in the capital.

During the campaign the secretary Islamabad Transport Authority (ITA) Rana Akbar Hayat impounded over a dozen vehicles for not completing their prescribed routes.

He also cancelled route permits of two vehicles with registration Nos (AJKC-8354) and (PE-4525) for similar violation.

He strictly warned the transporters to complete their routes otherwise no leniency would be shown and their route permits would be cancelled.

He directed that drivers of route No-104, which has recently been extended from Tarnol to Haj Complex via Police Lines Headquarter, Islamic International University and Carriage Factory, must complete their route.
