Constable shot dead in encounter

JHANG, March 24: A police constable was shot dead in an encounter with a gang in Chund Bharwana, in the jurisdiction of Massan police station on Sunday evening. Reports reaching here said on a secret information, the police raided a hideout where PO Nazar Parvana had taken refuge. The inmates resorted to firing which was returned.

Constable Nasir was shot dead during the encounter which started at half past five. The shootout was going on till last reports came in. Parvana had reportedly killed his sister over suspicion of illicit relations a year ago.
