KARACHI, March 22: The driver, who killed two girl students and a motorcyclist on Tuesday in the Karimabad accident, was remanded in judicial custody on Friday.

The police produced Muhammed Munawwar before the judicial magistrate, Central, Muhammed Afzal, who sent the driver of the 5-C bus to jail till April 1.

Two girl students of APWA Girls College and a motorcyclist were crushed to death by the 5-C bus at Karimabad when the driver rammed his vehicle into a group of college girls waiting for transport. Nine other girls were also injured in the accident.

INQUIRY: The Sindh government has ordered judicial inquiry into the Karimabad tragedy by a district and sessions judge, adds PPI.

It will ascertain the fault on part of traffic police, whether any procedural and mandatory clauses of the motor vehicle ordinance were violated and will recommend legal/disciplinary action against negligent drivers of both buses and the traffic police deputed at the place of the accident.
