Two Indian HC staffers expelled

ISLAMABAD, March 19: Pakistan on Tuesday declared two Indian High Commission officials personae non grata and asked them to leave the country by March 26.

A Foreign Office spokesman said that Pramod Kumar Saxena and Makhan Singh were involved in activities incompatible with their official status defined in the Vienna Convention on diplomatic relations.

“The Indian High Commission has accordingly been informed that these official should leave Pakistan by March 26, 2002,” the statement from FO spokesman said.—APP
