HYDERABAD, March 15: A three and half years old boy, Raj Kumar, who was kidnapped on Feb 1 last from Bhitshah, was recovered by the Hyderabad police following an encounter in the sand dunes of Bhitshah on Thursday.

The father of the child, Gagan Das, told newsmen in the presence of the AIG police, Hyderabad region, Abdur Rauf Yousufzai, at Shahbaz hall here on Friday that he had received letters demanding Rs5 million for the release of his son.

However, he said that he had not paid a single penny as ransom to bandits to secure the release of his son.

The AIGP praised the police force which had been combing different places including Thana Bula Khan, and Hub, Balochistan, to recover the child.

He disclosed the names of the arrested kidnappers as Ghulam Hussain Malokani, Chanesar Malokani, Gulsher Thaheem and Mustafa Deshak.
