Parents abandon eighth child

OKARA, March 14: A man donated his eighth child to the local welfare hospital on Thursday.

Information gleaned by this correspondent revealed the child was born at the Okara DHQ Hospital two days back.

On Thursday, the man handed over the child to welfare trust president Muhammad Hasan. He claimed he earned Rs2,200 a month and could not afford to bring up children.

The child will be brought up in the Apna Ghar department.

Meanwhile, a gang cut away electricity wire worth thousands of rupees in Chak 18-IR, Satgrah Town.
