Pakistan fail to reach semifinals

KUALA LUMPUR, March 5: Pakistan failed to qualify for the 10th World Cup hockey semifinals after Germany defeated them 3-2 Tuesday.

In Thursday’s semifinals, Pool ‘A’ victors Germany face South Korea while defending champions the Netherlands meet Australia, who kept their unbeaten record in Pool ‘B’ with a 4-3 win over India in the last round of league matches.
