LAHORE, March 5: PML-N president Nawaz Sharif wants all political parties to get united to prevent the government from taking unconstitutional steps.

The deposed prime minister said this while talking to Jamaat-i-Islami leader Farid Piracha who had called on him in Jeddah a few days ago.

Mr Piracha, who returned to Pakistan on Tuesday, told reporters that Mr Sharif wanted that all parties should follow the course of action to be decided by the APC steering committee.

At the meeting, the two leaders discussed the situation in the country, working of the military government and President Musharraf’s plans to perpetuate himself in power.

According to Mr Piracha, the deposed prime minister was in favour of electoral adjustments between the PML-N and religious parties.
