KARACHI: 13 religious activists released

KARACHI, Feb 22: About 13 religious activists, detained under the MPO a few months back, were released on Friday night.

The jail authorities released the activists after seeking undertakings from them, said jail superintendent Rashid Saeed.

The activists belonged to various religious parties and jehadi outfits.

Among those released on Friday included Noorul Islam, Syed Husain Shah, Mohammad Naeem, Syed Kusar Husain Zaidi, Amjad Husain, Qari Ziaul Rehman, Ali Naqvi, Anis Rehmani and Asif.
