KARACHI: Dawn staffer grieved

KARACHI, Feb 18: Waja Saleh Mohammed Baloch, father of Afzal Baloch, a senior sub-editor of Daily Dawn and a former secretary-general of the KUJ, died here on Monday morning after a protracted illness. He was 74.

He leaves behind six sons and two daughters.

He was buried in his ancestral graveyard at Morroro, Shershah. His funeral was attended by APNS chief Hameed Haroon, Editor Star Kamal Majidullah, PHWU President Latif Baloch and prominent political and social workers of Lyari Town.

Soyem will be held on Thursday afternoon at Old Singoo Lane Social Welfare Association on Suleman Brohi Road in Lyari.
