Kidnapped men freed by tribesmen

HANGU, Feb 3: A tribal lashkar in an operation in the Khadizai area of the Orakzai Agency recovered two kidnapped people and razed the houses of the kidnappers.

Besides setting fire to their houses, the lashkar, comprising religious and social elites of the agency, also fined the kidnappers Rs400,000. Those Kidnapped have reached their homes.

The kidnapped men identified as Abdul Hamid, son of Abdur Razzaq, and Momin Khan, son of Murad Khan, belong to Peshawar. They were kidnapped some days back, and were kept in the Khadizai area.

When the tribal ulema and chieftains received the information that two kidnapped men were being held in the area, they raided the kidnappers’ hideout, released the two men and set the houses of the accused on fire. They were also expelled from the area.

The tribal lashkar vowed that operation against anti-social and criminal elements would continue in the areas.
