FAISALABAD, Feb 3: The Punjab government has reportedly decided to give “Excellency awards” to skilled workers having good experience and services in various fields.

According to sources in the local Labour Welfare Department, the ministry of labour and manpower has asked the officials concerned and labour welfare organizations to send lists of workers rendering technical services in various units with dedication.

“The nominations will be received till Feb 15, and the award distribution ceremony will be held in Lahore next month,” the sources said.

They said the government was also considering to give cash prizes to hard-working labourers. These labourers would also be nominated as office-bearers of various trade bodies, they said.
