FAISALABAD, Jan 30: Four family members were killed and another suffered serious injuries in an accident on the Faisalabad-Samundri Road, some 30 kilometres from here on Tuesday night.

Babar Muneer along with his family was going to Samundri by a car. Near Roshanwali Jhal, a speeding truck rammed into the car, killing instantly Muneer and Ashfaq Ahmed while Nazia and Abdul Razzaq expired on the way to hospital. Ijaz Ahmed sustained wounds and was shifted to a nearby hospital where his condition was stated to be critical. Bodies of the deceased were sent to the Allied Hospital for autopsy. The driver of the truck managed to escape from the scene.

Area police have registered a case.
