Leaders of banned party held

TIMERGARHA, Jan 21: The law-enforcement agencies arrested key figures of the banned Tehrik Nifaz-i-Shariat Mohammadi following threats of agitation by the organization to stop action against its activists in the Malakand division.

The law-enforcement agencies arrested Malik Mohibullah, Sultan Zarin, Fazal Rehman and Mohammad Shafiullah who had led and addressed the rally in Maidan.

Efforts were under way to arrest Gran Malik who has gone underground. Raids have also been conducted at his house and a contingent of police has also been deployed there.
