MULTAN, Nov 21: Three coaches of 22-down Quetta-bound Chiltan Express derailed between Kot Behram and Kot Mithan railway stations near Rajanpur district on Tuesday.
Reports suggested that nine passengers were injured, however, the Railways divisional superintendent Nazir Chaudhri told APP that three people were injured.
“Two passengers received minor injuries and were discharged after first aid while the third one has been admitted to Dera Ghazi Khan hospital,” he said.
Railways Deputy Chief Controller said relief work has been completed and the track has been cleared for smooth passage of traffic.
Officials said that an inquiry into the incident would unveil the reason behind the derailment.
