Three die, 18 injured in accident

SUKKUR, Nov 20: Three persons were killed and 18 others got injured in an accident on Ubauro-Kashmore link road on Tuesday.

A passenger wagon QR 3630 coming from Mirpur Mathelo to Kashmore dashed against a tree and overturned while trying to save a motorcyclist at Ubauro-Kashmoree link road. As a result, three passengers of the wagon died on the spot and 18 others got injured.

The dead were identified as Wali Dino son of Behram Solangi (60), resident of Machka, Dewan Kirshan Lal son of Parse Ram (40), resident of Daharki, and another one, aged 25, whose name could not be ascertained.

His body was kept in Ubauro hospital for identification. The injured were shifted to Rahimyar Khan and Ubauro hospitals.

They included Sultan Ahmed Khokhar, Mst Nawabzadi, Mst Shahida, Asghar Ali, Ali Nawaz Solangi, Mir Hasan, Shahnawaz Malik, Ghulam Rasool Dasti, Mst Hurmat, Arbelo, Nazir Ahmed Soomro, Mst. Naseem and others.

Meanwhile, two other persons were killed in two separate road accident in Ghotki and Pano Aqil on Tuesday.

A cyclist Jamaluddin Channa was on his way to home on the National Highway near Ghotki when a speedy truck crushed him to death.

The truck driver fled after the accident.

Another road accident was reported in Pano Aqil where a motorcyclist Muhammad Asif Thaim was hit by a speedy trailer on the National Highway.

ELECTROCUTED: One Mehmood was electrocuted in Pano Aqil when he climbed over an electric pole to get his home energized.
