Transporters block road in protest

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Nov 20: Transporters blocked the Tharushah-Naushahro Feroze road on Tuesday morning against the bad attitude of students travelling in their buses.

Three students — Sajjad, Shubaan, and Abdul Sattar — were teasing girls travelling in a bus. When the conductor, Anees Tunio, asked them to behave properly a fight ensued.

Soon transporters blocked the road for two hours. The Tharushah police was finally able to clear the road for traffic after two hours.

KILLED: A man, Sahib Khan Chandio (32), was crushed to death under the wheels of a truck (QA-7552) at the Moro bypass on Tuesday.

The Moro police have impounded the truck.

JSQM ACTIVISTS: About 30 activists of the JSQM observed token hunger strike at the Al-Kausar Chowk on Tuesday.

They were protesting against the arrest of their chairman, Bashir Qureshi, and Niaz Kalani and an acute water shortage.
