Matric results announced

ABBOTTABAD, Nov 16: Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education has announced the result of Supplementary Examination of Matric.

A total of 14,762 students appeared in the exams, out of which 3,812 were declared successful. The pass percentage stood at 25.82 per cent.

In science group, 3,299 students appeared out of which 1,312 passed. In arts group, 11,463 students appeared and 2,500 succeeded. A total of 1,121 students were reported using unfair means out of which 119 were penalised.

In another notification the Board has notified the dates of annual examinations of Matric which will be held on March 28,2002.

The last date for the submission of forms is Dec 20 without late fee.

TV BOOSTER: Zila Nazim, Mustafa Jadoon, has said the PTV booster at Thandiani should be linked with Peshawar TV station and a high-power transmitter be fixed at Radio Pakistan, Abbottabad to relay the programmes for entire Hazara division.

This he said in his speech at the oath-taking ceremony of Abbasin Arts Council, Hazara at Jalal Baba Auditorium.

Mustafa Jadoon said in the present era it was the need of hour that the government should take measures to provide this facility to far-flung areas of the country.
