By-poll schedule announced

ISLAMABAD, June 9: The Election Commission of Pakistan on Wednesday announced schedule for the by-polls to be held on August 9 in constituencies of NA-240, NA-246 and PS-127.

The public notice by the returning officers inviting nomination papers would be announced on June 10, said a press release. Nominations will be filed from June 17 to 23. Scrutiny of nomination papers by the returning officers will be held from June 24 to 26.

Last date for filing of appeals against the decision of returning officers is June 30 and the last date for withdrawal of candidates is July 7. The revised list of candidates will be published on July 8 and the polling will be held on August 9. -APP
