Meeting on budget held

ISLAMABAD, May 1: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on Sunday presided over a high level pre-budget meeting at the Prime Minister House and considered proposals for the forthcoming budget in light of the prevailing economic situation. A number of suggestions came under discussion to consolidate the gains of the current macro-economic stability.

Prime Minister’s Adviser on Finance Dr Salman Shah, Governor of State Bank Dr Ishrat Hussain, Minister of State for Finance Omar Ayub Khan, Deputy Chairman Planning Commission, Chairman CBR and other senior officials of the ministry attended the meeting.—APP
