DERA GHAZI KHAN, April 30: Members of the Bosan gang on Saturday kidnapped three farmers for Rs5 million ransom from the fields of a landlord in Qadirwah Kotla Sher Muhammad in the limits of Fazilpur police station. Some farmers were harvesting the wheat crop in the fields of landlord Farid Bukhsh Jatoi when armed outlaws came there and kidnapped eight farmers. Later, the outlaws released five of them and took away the rest with them. The outlaws demanded Rs5 million ransom for the release of farmers.

Meanwhile, a member of the Bosan gang involved in several cases of heinous crimes, including kidnapping of a constable, was killed in an encounter with the Rajanpur police.

According to reports, the police received information that accused Zafari, Talib and their accomplices were present in a hideout at Pattan Satoiwala in the limits of Jampur police station. A police team led by DSP Chaudhry Liaquat rushed to the spot to arrest the accused. Seeing the police, the outlaws opened fire on them. The police also returned the fire, killing accused Talib instantly while his accomplices beat a retreat.

Dera DIG Humayun Raza Shafi announced the cash award and commendation certificates to the police party.
