LAHORE, April 30: PPP MNA Naheed Khan alleged on Saturday that her party workers from Sindh, who had come to Lahore on April 16 to receive Asif Zardari, were being mistreated by police. She said in a statement that Sindhi workers were not only being humiliated but also given unhygienic food. Even clean drinking water was not being provided to them, she claimed.

Some 50 PPP workers were produced before the anti-terrorism court and 175 other courts. Though dozens of them were allowed bail, Naheed Khan alleged that orders were issued after the office hours because of which it would take them a few more days to complete procedural formalities and get released.

Naheed Khan alleged that the PPP workers were also being forced to tender apology for what they did on April 16 and to declare that they had nothing to do with the PPP.

She said the people of Sindh were being given a very wrong message by the Punjab government.
