ISLAMABAD, April 30: The labourers who sacrificed their lives in Chicago for the rights of their community were the founder of the trade union and deserved to be rememberer by their fellows from around the world on the occasion of international worker’s day.

This was stated by United Bank Employees and Officers Action Committee, Governing Body Pakistan Workers Confederation in a statement issued here on Saturday in connection with International Worker’s Day being celebrated on Sunday.

They asked the labourers to unite for achieving their rights, which were being violated.

They have asked the government to abolish the draconian and anti-labour laws, including the Industrial Relations Ordinance, 2002 and Clause 27-B of the Services Tribunal Act.
