Two women killed by kin

JHANG, June 4: Two women were slaughtered by their relatives in Chiniot during the last 24 hours.

A youth killed his sister and cut her body into pieces in Chak No 154 GB on Monday night.

Gulzar was returning after watering his fields when he reportedly saw his sister Bibi talking to a young man of the village in a dark corner outside his house.

He attacked them with his hoe, killing Bibi on the spot while her alleged lover fled from the scene.

Later, Gulzar threw the pieces of the body into fields.

A man killed his daughter in Chak No 143 on Monday evening.

Allah Ditta Baloch wanted to join his daughter Sameena in marriage with his nephew. His wife and daughter were opposed to the match.

On Monday evening, he took his daughter to the nearby fields to convince her to marry his nephew. He cut the throat of his daughter with a sickle when she refused.

Meanwhile, Hayat was shot dead by Sikandar over a petty matter in Chak No 184 Sharqi.

DROWNED: A three-year-old boy drowned in a canal in Shahab Din village, six kilometres from Shorkot, on Monday.

According to details, Sohail was playing near Shishmahi link canal when he slipped and fell into the canal and drowned.

The body could be recovered after eight hours.

Sohail was the son of Muhammad Nawaz and a brother of six sisters.
