Christians attend Sunday service

Published November 5, 2001

BAHAWALPUR, Nov 4: Christians held their Sunday service on the premises of St. Dominican Church as its main prayer hall was closed after last Sunday’s incident.

The service was joined by about 100 Christians of both Protestants and Catholic sections.

Father Rocus Pitars told Dawn that the Christians attended the service without any fear.

He said the church’s main prayer hall would remain closed till it is washed and ‘blessed’ by priests of the country and a special representative of Pope Paul John-II, who will pay a visit to the church in due course.
