Notice to SP NAB

KARACHI, Feb 10: An accountability court in Karachi on Thursday issued notice to the special prosecutor of the National Accountability Bureau for Feb 16 on an application submitted by former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto and others , praying the court to direct the prosecution to first conclude its arguments against the accused.

AC Judge Parkash Lal Ambwani was conducting the trial of a corruption reference against the accused pertaining to illegal recruitment in PIA.

The application under section 265-G CrPC was filed by defence counsel Abdul Hafeez Lakho and Azizullah K Sheikh on behalf of Benazir Bhutto, Nahid Khan and Ghulam Qadir Jamote.

The court, issuing notice to SP NAB, fixed Feb 16 for the next hearing.-PPI
