WANA, Feb 8: Two children were killed and five people were wounded during an exchange of fire between two groups here on Tuesday.

The incident took place during a meeting organized by a candidate for the agency council, Fareed Khan Wazir.

Witnesses said groups led by Aslam Khan and Bakhmal Khan came across each other in the meeting and their armed men resorted to indiscriminate fire, which caused panic.

Aslam Khan's son Fakhruddin, 13, and nephew Nasheq Khan, 14, were killed. At least five passers-by were injured and taken to a hospital. No arrest was made, officials said.
