Legislators team leaves for UK today

ISLAMABAD, Feb 5: National Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Amir Hussain will leave for England along with a seven-member parliamentary delegation on a six-day visit on the invitation of Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) on Sunday.

The delegation will visit Westminster and call on Michael Martin, the Speaker of the House of Commons, and Don Mckinnon, Secretary-General of the CPA, says a press release.

The team will also witness the proceedings of the House of Commons.

The visit will provide an opportunity to the delegation to interact with their British counterparts with particular reference to the political and party scene at the Westminster and working of the committees in the House of Commons.
