TOBA TEK SINGH, Jan 1: Doctors continued their protest drive on the third day against the ruling party MPA on Saturday.

Wearing black arm bands, the doctors said MPA Chaudhry Bilal Asghar Warraich had allegedly harassed and misbehaved with Health EDO Dr Akram Zahid over his refusal to accept a recommendation of the MPA regarding transfer of Naib Qasid of Gojra THQ Hospital.

The Pakistan Medical Association had announced protests till Jan 4 and said that doctors would go on strike on Jan 5 if the demand of disqualification of Mr Warraich and registration of a case against him was not accepted.

Meanwhile, patwaris also observed strike on Saturday at Gojra to protest the suspension of their seven colleagues by the deputy district officer (revenue) on corruption charges.
