TOBA TEK SINGH, Jan 1: Pirmahal police on Saturday claimed to have arrested 'killers' of Faisalabad Anti-Corruption Establishment inspector Naseeb Dogar.

Speaking at a press conference here, DPO Saad Akhtar Bharwana said Mr Dogar was on his way to office by his car in July 2004 in Faisalabad civil lines area when accused Ahsan Qadir and Muhammad Naeem shot him dead.

Mr Bharwana said the accused had formed a gang, consisting of Naeem, Shahbaz, Iftikhar, Munir, Asif, Babar, Riaz and Qaiser. The DPO said the gangsters had taken away a car from the sister of a Punjab additional secretary near Mananwala on the Faisalabad-Lahore Road in April 2004 and in this case Lahore Elite Force constable Imran was also involved who disposed of the vehicle.

Saad Akhtar Bharwana said the gang took away various cars from Faisalabad, Sheikhupura, Azad Kashmir and other cities, including robberies at shops and petrol pumps.

The DPO said that the gangsters were present in Chak 672/13 GB near Pirmahal when the police arrested them and recovered a car from their possession.
