SADIQABAD, Oct 29: Tehrik-i-Insaaf chief Imran Khan has inaugurated the Al-Ghazi Trust Hospital at Bhong.
The 70-bed hospital is constructed by philanthropist Raees Wazir Ahmad. He had also built a mosque in Bhong which won him the Aga Khan award.
Appreciating the efforts of Rais Wazir, TI chief Imran Khan stressed philanthropists to come forward and start such projects in every nook and corner of the country to end the sufferings of the down-trodden.
Initially, a children unit, a gynaecology unit and a general surgery unit will facilitate the people of this far-flung area.
Syed Ishtiaq Ahmad Shah, Maj-Gen (retired) and Shaikh Zayed Hospital former chief executive, has been appointed as its Medical Director.
Highlighting the working of the hospital, Raees Wazir’s son Dr Raees Nasir said the hospital would provide modern health cover to the people of this neglected area. The hospital was equipped with all modern facilities, including a laboratory, an X-ray machine and ultrasound, he said.
District Nazim Makhdoom Syed Ahmad Mahmood and former federal minister Syed Khurshid Ahmad Shah were also present on the occasion.
